Two Oaks Publishing, LLC runs this website (twooakspublishing.com). We’re a boutique literary publisher in Shiloh, Georgia, founded by Angela D. Shelton. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and who helps us run the site. It isn’t legal advice — it’s a plain-language account of how the site actually works.

What we collect and why
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus a little technical information that websites and their services gather automatically.
Newsletter (MailerLite). The signup form in the site footer (and on our Free Books / newsletter page) asks for your email address. It’s run by MailerLite. After you sign up, MailerLite sends a confirmation email, and you’re only added once you confirm. We use your email to send Two Oaks Publishing news, book announcements, and related updates. We never sell or share your email address. You can unsubscribe from any message.
Contact form. Our Contact page uses Contact Form 7. It asks for your name, email address, subject, message, and optionally a newsletter opt-in. Your message is emailed to us so we can reply. Sending a message does not add you to the newsletter unless you tick that box.
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that messages come from real people and not spam bots. Turnstile may collect limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, which Cloudflare handles under its privacy policy.
Submissions. Our Submissions page uses Contact Form 7. It asks for details such as your name, email, story title, word count, theme, synopsis, and a manuscript upload (.doc / .docx), plus a rights checkbox. We use that information only to evaluate your submission and to reply to you. Manuscripts and related details are kept only as long as we need them for that review, then deleted or archived according to our editorial practice.
Free books (BookFunnel). Some free-book links take you to BookFunnel (or BookHip forwarding to BookFunnel). BookFunnel collects your name and email on its own site and may offer a newsletter signup. BookFunnel handles that information under its privacy policy, and may pass newsletter signups to our MailerLite list when you agree.
Accounts. There is no public account signup on this site. The only accounts are for people who help run it.

Social links. Facebook, Instagram, Goodreads, and Amazon links in the footer are plain links. Nothing from those sites loads until you click one.
Cookies
Like most websites, this site and its services may set small cookies or similar files so forms and security features work, and so cached pages load quickly. Your browser can block or delete cookies; some features (such as staying logged in as an admin) may not work without them.
How long we keep information
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Contact messages: as long as we need them to reply and follow up.
- Submissions and manuscripts: only as long as needed to evaluate and respond, then deleted or archived per our editorial practice.
- Server and security logs: according to our host and security tools’ normal retention.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (including removing you from the newsletter). Email contact@twooakspublishing.com. Unsubscribing from newsletter emails also stops those messages.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this page, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
